Starting at the very basics; Paintball is a game where two teams or individuals compete for an objective while avoiding being hit or “marked” by paint shot from an air powered paintball gun or “paintball marker”. Paintballs are actually a mix of gelatine and food colouring, non-toxic and biodegradable. Paintball is one of the fastest growing sports in the world and is played everywhere from backyards to professional international leagues.

“Woodsball” goes back to the roots of paintball with participants playing recreationally in wooded fields in a variety of games like capture the flag or attack and defend.

Now imagine Canada’s largest paintball game ever with nearly 2000 players converging at Wasaga Beach Paintball Adventure...

Alien Aggression 2 “The Scorpion’s Lair” is the name of this years annual paintball big game at Wasaga Paintball. A fifteen plus year history and tradition of big games at one of Canada’s best paintball fields. Every August Wasaga Paintball hosts their annual game with a new name and background story to go along with the game.

Players are divided evenly into two teams and identified with red and blue armbands. A safety and rules briefing precedes the game and explains game details like special units (medics, rocketeers, spys, etc.). Each team also has a General who will receive missions and intel from the Game Director and Sergents who are familiar with the terrain to lead players into battle. Players that do get hit return to their base and check in with the ref there to be re-inserted into the game.

Game play begins at 10am sharp. The horn blows and two armies of 800+ race towards each other. Both teams will battle until 5pm to control vital positions on the field and to complete missions from their General which are worth points for their team. Sabotage, tank attacks, hidden secrets weapons are all part of the game. At the end of the day, victory goes to the team that works together and emerges with the most overall points.

There is also of course HUGE PRIZES given away in a random draw of all players who attend. Vendors onsite from Friday evening before the game and all day Saturday during the game. Onsite tech support from Tippmann and others. Onsite food, drinks and BBQs.
